Can You Hear the Sound of Heaven?

Think, friends: If I come to you and all I do is pray privately to God in a way only he can understand, what are you going to get out of that? If I don’t address you plainly with some insight or truth or proclamation or teaching, what help am I to you? If musical instruments—flutes, say, or harps—aren’t played so that each note is distinct and in tune, how will anyone be able to catch the melody and enjoy the music? If the trumpet call can’t be distinguished, will anyone show up for the battle? 1Cor 7:6-8

For the past couple of days I have had a CD playing in my car entitled “Can You Hear the Sound of Heaven” by David and Nicole Binion.

Often when I listen to music and it goes deep within my soul, I will continue to hear the melody and the words playing over and over again in my head and in my heart, long after the music has ended. One of the most wonderful things I experience is to wake up with a song in my heart!

I often think of how God will place certain songs in my heart for certain occasions and how the Holy spirit always knows exactly what song to bring up – to minister to me at the occasion needed – and I realize just how much God loves me and how He will use any method to get a message across.

The above scripture speaks in two illustrations that messages must be clear and distinct – not so deep or lofty that it takes revelation to understand them. The message of the gospel is so simple, that even a fool cannot err – if he wants to understand it. As we speak the words of life to others – we must cast aside our tendencies to speak religious terms and phrases that mean nothing to someone struggling to find their way – “God is light and in Him is no darkness at all”(1 John 1:5 How simple, how true – if we want light – if we want direction – it is in God – plain and simple.

I want to say plain and simple – I hear the sound of heaven – and it is cry to prepare – prepare to hear – prepare to see – prepare to walk in your destiny! It is time for the church of Jesus Christ to arise from our rest and be the salt and the light that is so needed in this hour. Don’t shrink back and leave the work to someone else – you have been sent for such a time as this – God will give you wisdom, He will give you strength, He will give you His love.

God is not caught off guard, unable to meet the challenges of this hour – all He needs is YOU and ME to hear the trump that has sounded – that it is time to do battle – and believe and stand on His Word!

God Bless You,
Maria
