Today I heard a song in my spirit that I had not listened to for quite awhile. It is a song by Donald Lawrence, who I consider to be a very talented songwriter. The words I heard were, “see yourself in the future, you are royalty!” Of course this song is based upon a familiar passsage of scripture, 1 Peter 2:9-10,which for this post I chose the MSG version:
“But you are the ones chosen by God, chosen for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people, God’s instruments to do his work and speak out for him, to tell others of the night-and-day difference he made for you—from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted.”
The Holy Spirit is our comforter, and I know that He breathed these words to me today because members of my family are under extreme attack! It is so easy when these attacks come to look at the circumstances surrounding the attack and say, “how dare this happen? how unfair, how unjust?” We can rant and rave about the people who are the instruments of our affliction, or we can step back and say, “God, what are You up to?” , remembering that God loves us too much to hurt us, and He is too wise to make a mistake! If He brings us to it, He intends to bring us through it! And, what looks like a bombshell, is sure to be a blessing!
If we can see ourself in the future, and recognize that we are ROYALTY! That we are a “chosen generation”, a “royal priesthood”, and as the MSG puts it, we are: God’s instruments to do his work and speak out for him, to tell others of the night-and-day difference he made for you—from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted.”
Yes, there are times the world rejects us, and the pain of rejection causes us to lose sight of the glory that envelopes us as a blood bought child of God! We must take our “fight of faith” to include trusting the God that loved us enough to die for us, to make every single situation in our lives, “work together for the good” (Romans 8:28). WE MUST SEE OURSELF IN THE FUTURE, for He, “knows the plans He has for us, plans for a future and a hope!” (Jeremiah 29:11)
It’s not a future hidden from view, it’s plainly written in His Word – if we have faith to believe! And didn’t we read, “Without faith it is impossible to please God, for He that cometh to God, must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.” (Hebrews 11:6)
Do you believe? Have you faith in God? Are you not a child of the most High God? Has He not called you out of darkness, into His marvelous light? There it is – your future – chosen, blessed, ruling and reigning in heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 1:3 and 2:6) – Can you see it now?
God Bless You,
Maria

Amen!
