We have heard for many years that test and trials only come to make us stronger..

or what won’t kill you will make you stronger…. I find myself many times thinking of the tests that come my way that want to make me switch channels, or change gears, instead of being still and waiting to hear from the Lord.
Remember when television was not a matter of pushing a button, you actually had to get up from your seated position and change the channels, remember when the color coded message would come across the screen interupting your favorite television show with ……beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep…. this is only a test… we are conducting a test of the emergency broadcast system…. and then after a long anoying sound which was only a few minutes and seemed like hours, ceased, and moments later your tv show returns to the regularly scheduled broadcast.
Many times I know myself that I have no patience, I am guilty of jumping the gun and changing channels instead of waiting for the test to be over. I am learning in this christian journey that we sometimes have to be still and allow the annoying, irritating sound of the long beep to develop all of the fruits of the spirit inside of us. I am the kind of person that answers the call no matter what, solve the problem, get the job done, no matter what it takes..
I am learning that prayer is the key, when the testing is going on… stop for a moment.. and say” this is a test of the emergency broadcast system this is only a test” I will get through this test, I will not operate in emotions, I will not walk in offense, I will not make my own way, I will not be afraid, I will walk in Faith knowing that the tests and trials come to make me strong! I will stay on this channel Lord until this test is over.
We blame the enemy for a lot of things, when sometimes we are being taught a lesson that will cause us to grow! A test to repair areas in our life that need some strengthening, A test that show us who we need to depend on, and a test that we will pass because we know we are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus!
So the next time you recognize that you are uncomfortable, weary, stressed out, emotionally exhausted, take a moment and remember ” THIS IS A TEST>> THIS IS ONLY A TEST OF THE EMERGENCY BROADCAST SYSTEM>> GOD WILL GET THE GLORY BECAUSE I CHOOSE NOT TO CHANGE CHANNELS> I WILL PASS AND WAIT ON THE LORD! Soon the test will be over and you will realize you are victorious once again! Romans 8:37
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
