This week we have been talking about Taking Back -the things that the enemy is stealing from us, the things that we have lost along the way because we didn’t claim our rightful inheritance as blood-bought believers! God wants us to take those things that He has freely given us! As we “take” however, we must remember to give. The greatest gift we can give is our honest and sincere praise to God! From that praise flows everything else:
He is thy praise, and he is thy God, that hath done for thee these great and terrible things, which thine eyes have seen. Deuteronomy 10:21 (KJV)
And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.
Joel 2:26 (KJV)
There are millions of reasons to praise God, giving thanks – but these two scriptures speak of direct praise for the things God has done for us. How often do we magnify the challenges in our life and forget that “daily He loads us with benefits.”
