Finally Home!

Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone):Chris Tomlin
My chains are gone
I’ve been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy reigns
Unending love, Amazing grace

This chorus reverberates within my spirit as I reflect on the week gone by. God’s love, God’s mercy, God’s grace has been showered on me in such a marvelous way. For when I see what God has done in the lives of His people, I know once again that His hand is not too short to bless me!

How I used to love Wednesday night testimony service. We would come to church for prayer meeting – and you never knew what was going to happen or what you were going to hear. For just when you think you’ve heard it all – someone comes in with a testimony that would rock your world, send goose bumps up your spine, and cause joy bells to ring in your heart! Such was the case with me this week-end as I listened to the testimonies of God’s grace and love pour out from couple after couple at The Power of One Marriage Retreat. Stories of personal redemption and deliverance, stories of freedom from habits and bondages that were destroying both themselves and their marriages; stories that said to me once more and again – never, ever, give up on the prayers you pray for GOD DOES INDEED ANSWER PRAYER!

I haven’t figured out the forum for presenting these stories yet, but just like the many years that the radio broadcast, Unshackled, has blessed me and millions of others like me, I know that we have to get the message out to people everywhere that God is yet restoring lost souls and broken marriages.

Some of you reading this post today might be going through something that seems impossible – may I take a moment and proclaim to you that God IS a healer, a deliverer, a comforter, a very present help in time of need. He will be to you everything you will let Him be, and more than you could ever imagine. His promises are as fresh as the breeze that is blowing through the trees, and as bright as the sun that rose this morning. He loves you far more than you could ever imagine and wants to bless you beyond your wildest dreams. There is a world out there who are committed to silencing His Word in the hope that their deeds done in the dark would remain – but they don’t know (and won’t know unless we tell them) that “If we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to cleanse us from our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” And He won’t stop there – He will:

Ezekiel 36:26 (KJV)
A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh
.

When the heart is changed, we see life differently – we recognize that their is a freedom and a liberty and a peace in God that is what we have always longed for- we realize we are finally home!

God Bless You,
Maria
