Today is the 30th day of November, 2009! Tomorrow we enter December and like a flash of light 2009 will fade away. I can’t say that I will miss many of the events that transpired this year – it has been one of my most challenging years! I look forward to a fresh start in 2010 – and hold fast to the promise that “my tomorrows will be better than my yesterdays have been.” And yet, even with all the challenges I have so much to thank God for that I would be amiss to say that I see God’s Hand and Handiwork in every one of those yesterdays! read more...

Health for the Holidays!
During the Christmas season, we all struggle with the question of “what to give” and “to who” and “how much”. This year more than ever when each of us has felt at least a portion of the economic decline this country is facing, there are greater “needs” than there are “wants”! While the pressure of yesteryear may have been to shower loved ones with gifts to make them happy, there are so many around us that have “necessities” that the dilemma we face may be even greater. read more...
What Happens When the Lights Go Out?
Have you ever been traveling at night and wound up on a very dark road; a road you’ve never been on before. What do you do? How do you find your destination? I have been there on more than one occasion – and it was right there and then that I decided I would pay for On-Star another year! read more...
A Prayer Worth Praying, Again!
God, O God of Israel, there is no God like you in the skies above or on the earth below, who unswervingly keeps covenant with his servants and unfailingly loves them while they sincerely live in obedience to your way. You kept your word to David my father, your promise. You did exactly what you promised—every detail. The proof is before us today!… read more...

Enter into His Gates With Thanksgiving!
This week we are going to go before the Lord with our gift of thanksgiving! If you would care to join me as we pray prayers of thanksgiving, just place them in the comments and together we will offer up a community of praise and thanksgiving unto the Lord who is “daily loading us with His benefits.” I am going to begin today with praying one of my favorite Psalms – the 100th division: read more...
Heaven On Earth!
“Something’s moving, something’s changing, see His glory, seems like Heaven on Earth!” -These are the words to the song by David and Nicole Binion that my three year old granddaughter sang to me unashamed last night. It’s in her spirit – she can’t stop singing it! I don’t think it’s the melody – forgive me for being deep, but I believe it is the Holy Spirit talking to us – through little Kirsten – it wouldn’t be the first time God used a child to get my attention. I can remember so clearly, as if it were yesterday, (even though it was at least thirty years) when I was experiencing a major stress factor and my son Stephen, also about three) came to me and spoke such a clear and accurate message for the situation and instructing me not to fear, that it shocked me into remembering that God was still God and fear was not a part of His benefit plan! read more...
Go Light Your World!
Already streets are decorated with the signs of the season – bright bulbs, red bows, Christmas wreaths, and most of all lights, hundreds and hundreds of lights – no matter what we are going through, we are all lifted by the light! read more...
AOH At the ROCC!
Tomorrow night is the last opportunity for 2009 that you can experience the Atomosphere of Heaven worship experience at the ROCC church. Too many have been blessed to give their testimonies here, but I can punch my own ticket! Each time I have attended this worship experience it was a time of refreshing, a time of healing, and a time of deliverance (yes God actually showed me some areas that I needed to deal with and told me right then and there to deal with them). One of the things that stand out in my mind from my Christian experience are the sweet times of fellowship when we left the four walls of our church and ventured out to fellowship with other believers in other congregations. It was a glimpse into what I believe heaven will be like. read more...
A Thanksgiving Prelude!
.Next week we will celebrate with this nation Thanksgiving. Our prayers go out to all of those who may not feel as thankful this year due to job loss, or other life-altering events that have shaken their world. I want to give an encouraging word today that He is yet the God that can do the impossible. More times than I can remember, as my children were growing up, I faced an empty checking account before a celebratory day. I told this story before, but permit me to share it again read more...
