I was completing a book that we are reading in our book study for Monday Morning Prayer – in it was a quote that I want to share:
“For all that is past thank-you; for all that will be, yes.”
Dag Hammarksjold
It speaks volumes to me, for it says in a simple statement, what is on my heart today. As I left Atlanta this morning and made my trip back home, I recognized I was ending a season – and beginning a new one. Don’t have all the marching orders right now, but the excitement is stirring deep within. I had a wonderful refreshing while on my short trip – it was just what I needed. It helped to bring closure to some things, and re-awaken others! That is why this quote when I read it was so significant – I’ve had some very good days, and then there have been some very challenging ones, and let’s face it – many that I could have skipped if I was writing the script – but for all of them I say, “thank-you!” They brought me to today – they made me who I am – (maybe not what I want to be, but certainly a whole lot better than what I was); and yet, there is still the today that is on the brink of tomorrow – even though it is still unknown, I say “yes!”
How can I say “yes” to the unknown – because in it all, through it all, “I’ve learned to trust in Jesus, I’ve learned to trust in God.” His ways are past finding out – but they are good, and they are just, and they are always leading me to the pathway of blessing.
Maybe it was flying those 30,000 feet up – but I have a feeling – everything is going to be alright!
It is our Kairos Moment!
Maria
