The final sands in the hour glass of 2009 have begun. As we look back on this year, there is not one thing we can change – it is, was it is; or shall I say, it was, what it was! Unfortunately in life, there are no do-overs, how I wish there were, don’t you? To live in vain regret is a needless waste of time, ask me how I know!
The marvelous thing about the gospel message lies in the grace factor, “though your sins be as scarlet, I will make them whiter than snow.” God takes the reality of who we are, what we’ve done, and what we would like to do and erases the past, redeems our heart, and secures our future by giving us a “new name in glory!” With that new heart, and that new name – we can go forward with intentionality – we can purpose to live better, to aim higher, to gain wisdom, to allow the Holy Spirit to lead and to guide us.
My prayer for you, is no different than my prayer for me – God help us all to hear your voice, to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, to believe You, to trust You, to love You – for in this way we will live the kind of life that You purchased for us on Calvary’s cross. Therein is the pathway to better relationships, wiser decisions, healthier lives.
As the administrator of HeartLife Ministries I would like to join with you and your families in agreement that you will enter this new year with a prayer on your lips, hope in your heart, and a dream waiting to explode. God is a Promise Keeper – He is a Waymaker, He is a Problem Solver, He is and will be all that you let Him be in your life. May we with all live a life of purpose -intentionally!
I heard a quote by St. Francis Assisi that bears repeating:
Preach the Gospel at all times and when necessary use words.
