These are the words that I heard this night, and as I asked God what they meant, the Spirit of the Lord came to me saying that indeed this year is the year to “make His paths straight.” Years of confusion over the status of the church, and the affairs of this life have left far too many of God’s people in shambles. The cry has been, where is safe passage to my future? For those who have asked this, the spirit of the Lord would say unto you the same message as we find in Luke 3:
A Baptism of Life-Change
1-6 In the fifteenth year of the rule of Caesar Tiberius—it was while Pontius Pilate was governor of Judea; Herod, ruler of Galilee; his brother Philip, ruler of Iturea and Trachonitis; Lysanias, ruler of Abilene; during the Chief-Priesthood of Annas and Caiaphas—John, Zachariah’s son, out in the desert at the time, received a message from God. He went all through the country around the Jordan River preaching a baptism of life-change leading to forgiveness of sins, as described in the words of Isaiah the prophet:
Thunder in the desert!
“Prepare God’s arrival!
Make the road smooth and straight!
Every ditch will be filled in,
Every bump smoothed out,
The detours straightened out,
All the ruts paved over.
Everyone will be there to see
The parade of God’s salvation.” (MSG)
Even as those in Jesus day saw a world looking for answers, so too we see today in the year of our Lord 2010, people looking for someone to take away their confusion and lead them onto the path of safety. Far too many feel that answer is in the government.
The Lord would say unto you, “there is no safety, but in me. Do not look for solutions from man, turn your hearts to me, says the Lord. Repent from those things you have allowed to creep into your heart and take dominion that were not pleasing and give me your heart once again. Rend your hearts, not your garments – for I long to dwell in your hearts and grant you the safe passage you desire. I desire to make straight your paths, I desire to make level every crooked place in you life, I desire to have your cup run over with life, and that more abundantly.”
Beloved this is the year of our breakthrough – that which we have sought God for – He will reveal to every heart that asks the secrets of His Kingdom. We must arise in the faith that God has given to the believer, and we must arise in faith in the Word of God – it will not fail us! God has given unto us, “exceedingly great ad precious promises” – they belong to us – our prayer must be, “thy kingdom come, thy will be done, in earth, as it is in heaven,” for we have entered the Kingdom Age where our allegiance must be to the God of our salvation and our faith must know that nothing is impossible with God!
Trust God this year – He is near to all those who will call upon Him!
God Bless You,
