Don't Get Weary!

Wen I was a young Christian, there was much talk concerning the “End Times.’ We watched movies like, “A Thief in the Night” and we argued over whether the rapture wuld be “pre-trib” or “post-trib” – all of us hoping that it would be pre!

It was stress, there was no doubt about it – I had just got my feet on the raod to heaven, but I wasn’t sure I wanted to go there that day! But it was also a time of great excitement – the church took on a new dimension – it was a place of safety, a place of refuge, after all, if I was in church, praising God when Jesus split the sky, surely I would go up!

I’ve grown alot since then, I know more about God and about His Ways. I’m not living in fear that my imperfections and even mistakes will cost me heaven – I believe that I am eternally secure in Christ as long as I want to be! However, there is a sound of a trumpet – and it’s a warning sound – to be aware of the times that we are living in:

24And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.

25And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

26But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end.
Daniel 7:24-26 (KJV)

Don’t let the devil weary you! Whatever you do, don’t confess to being tired! Cast your cares upon Him, who cares for you. We are not meant to bear the burdens we carry, we have a “burden-bearer” – if we really believe the report – we must live the report – we must accept the provisions of the covenant – “many are the afflictions of the righteous, but He delivers us out of them all!”Psalm 34:19 (KJV)

This is the church’s finest hour!

God Bless You and Keep You,
Maria
