For the next couple of days you will be privileged to read a condensed version of one of Pastor Doug’s anointed messages – this one got a 5-star rating – hope you enjoy. Part II will be printed on tomorrow.
Timing is Everything The things that God has promised that we want to happen in our lives may not happen when we want them to but we can rest assured that the promises of God are sure. The timing of things is not necessarily about us showing ourselves ready or faithful. There’s also the element of those whose lives we are to touch with our gift being ready. What’s more is that God may not want what He’s called us to do to happen yet. God’s timing is not just about when we’re ready. We often neglect to consideration that even though it’s all about Him, is He ready? When God is ready and things happen at His command everything displays beautifully in its right season. Ecclesiastes 3:1, 11 Our scope is limited. We don’t see the full picture of what God is doing. Whether it is a call to ministry, a call to start a business or a prophetic word, God is only showing us the part He wants us to see. 1 Corinthians 13:8-10 Loving people is more important for us to focus on than making a vision come to pass. Our visions and prophetic words will soon be useless but love lasts forever. In fact, the main purpose of the vision He’s given us is to establish a more effective way to communicate His love to the world. Yet all too often many people run over others and neglect loving them for trying to get their vision fulfilled. God gives us vision like parts to a play that He is directing. We see our part and sometimes think it is the whole thing, not realizing that others are involved. And just like a play, we don’t “take the stage” until it’s the right time. Otherwise there will be utter confusion and the whole production will suffer. God Bless,
1 For everything there is a season,
a time for every activity under heaven.
11 Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.
Prophecy and speaking in unknown languages and special knowledge will become useless. But love will last forever! 9) Now our knowledge is partial and incomplete, and even the gift of prophecy reveals only part of the whole picture!
