No Panic There!

Have you ever read about or met a person that you admire so much, but you don’t want to go through what they went through to become the notable person they are? Well, that’s how I feel about Corrie Ten Boom. I would not want to live through what she lived through – living in Nazi Germany, harboring Jewish refugees, winding up in a German prison camp, and so on… She went through life threatening, life altering circumstances, but the operable word is – she lived through them! She lived to tell the story that has blessed countless numbers of people, including me!

One of her quotations is: “There is no panic in heaven. God has no problems, only plans.” I like this. God is never in a state of anxiety wondering what the outcome will be, He knows the end from the beginning! If we recognize that God left the glories of the universe that He created to live in us – we would have no panic either when things seemingly are going haywire! We would draw from the peace – and that’s one of the greatest attributes of God – and wait and see what the plans are. I delayed posting this morning to go to prayer and this was the topic of discussion – I am so glad that I did. All the things that had piled up on me, as potential problems, just slid right off – I felt like I had been bathed in the refreshing waters of baptism that only God can provide.

Are the seeming problems still there, Yes, they are, but I have been reminded that they are not problems, they are plans in the making, and don’t you hear our special verse that God has given us as a promise:

For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not harm you, to give you an expected end!” Jeremiah 29:11

Selah,
Maria

3735 W. 213th Street, 60443

Time: 12 o’clock until dusk

Donation – $5.00/person

Michael was a chef and connosieur of good food and we took his passion for showing the world that “real men can cook” – to begin an annual fundrasing program to help young men who are mentored by men in our HeartLife Family and to award a scholarship to one such deserving young man to further his education!

Bring your family! Bring your friends! Even bring your neighbors! They will love Memorial Park, they will love the good food, and most of all they will love the fellowship of “Real Men” who are on a mission to reach our young men!

  1. How I needed these words today. Before I started reading tears were streaming down my face as I am facing some things now. God is not in a panic, nor should I be. I must take comfort in His plans and know that all is well. Thanks for sharing.
