A Present You Don’t Have to Wait Until Christmas to Open!

It’s finally here – Christmas music! Even though I have learned to appreciate and value all the seasons of life (including winter), there is no doubt that Christmas is my favorite time of the year. When a local radio station begins playing Christmas music I keep it on – 24-7 – I fill my house (both literal and physical) with the hope and promise of the season. For indeed Christmas is a reminder that our Father God did indeed send the blessed hope in the world – the redeemer – the Savior – the one long-awaited – came – not in the form of a king triumphant, but in the form of a little baby – a baby that could do nothing for himself – one who had to grow and develop, just like us – who faced temptation – who no doubt suffered the awkwardness of the ever changing teen-aged years – and yet – He was who the hope of the world! read more...

A Salute to the Men and Women of the Cloth!

For many of you, you may not even be familiar with the term, “men and women of the cloth.” It is not utilized much today as people in the church dress more casually, even the presbytery. Coming Up to Go Forth!

It seems that no sooner than I was turned back the assignment to post the daily word – I got struck down by a virus that rendered me unable to read my e-mail, let alone write! I tried over and over again, but the commands I kept sending to my head seemed to get caught somehere in mid-air – why was I unable to do anything – but sleep! read more...

Let the Rivers of Living Water Flow…

In the summer, it is not difficult to drink water. But for those of us who don’t really like water, as the weather gets cooler, it is often difficult to get the water down. I am not talking about just drinking liquid, like coffee, tea, or juice – no I mean I have to drink the aqua – the real stuff in order to have the rght effect in my body! read more...
