Pray Audaciously!

I heard a message recently about how we are to pray!  Pray on purpose, pray with purpose, pray with intentionality!  My daughter Kristen must have heard the same message because it has been ringing from her mouth!  Pray Audaciously Mom!  I realize that we as christians get so comfortable in our prayers.  I took to heart those words of the messenger and began to pray with intent, and pray with courage. This message made such an impact on my life.  I want to pray and see miracles and YES  I know God is able.  Something as simple as aour testimony below! read more...

Let it Rain!

Well it is  Friday again as I sit and write this post, I am reminded of last Friday night when I was privaleged to hear my sister speak last week.  God used her mightly.  I believe everyone in the room was refreshed by the powerful rhema word that was spoken.  I told her “girl” you PREACHED!  My sister Deborah Anthony ministered on the season we are in.  The refreshing also came from the mist of rain that was sprinkled on the people.  The rain of His presence.  God’s glory truly filled the temple. read more...

A Prayer Journey!

My church along with many of the body of Christ  has  been “Feasting” fasting for the past 18 days of January on the glory of the Lord! I had chosen to do the Daniels Fast! I have definitley prayed for somthing different during this fast and I have been recieving all month long.  Last night in our service we walked through a prayer journey which consisted of walking the prayer journey with your family. We went throughout our entire church praying for the many things in life we have a tendacy to forget.  Many times I find that my prayers become repetitive.  I have been called to intercession and I must confess that often times my life becomes so busy that my prayer journey is not what it should be.  I allow life to get in the way.  Lack of Conssitency in prayer will cause lack of faith, doubt and unbelief to set in. read more...

The Blessing of Abraham!

Everyone possibly knows I am a worshiper, and if I not I love to worship. I am reminded of Donald Lawrence’s song the Blessing of Abraham! Its a song that reminds of where we came from and what we should hold onto from God’s word.  However I was reading and reflecting how in the beginning Abraham had to have such awesome faith to hear God speak and just stop, go, and listen!  We as christians most times have to put our own logic into it.  Does it make since? We normally have to analyze things and see if it will work out before we actually believe God!  God can speak to you and we have to almost have a huge sign in the sky before we believe.  read more...

Reposition Yourself!

Yesterday Wes and I drove back from Jefferson City Missouri with a truck load of our daughter “Danielle’s” things from Lincoln University as she transfers to Lincoln College.   A six hour drive and lots of driving and  thinking caused my heart to worship with a grateful heart.  I reflect on how its not the easiest to reposition yourself.  To take time to recognize when its time to shift and change.  Well I am a proud mother today as I sat and thought about how my two oldest daughters made the decision to be roommates, share an apartment, save money and shift their life and what was comfortable for them.  It was not an easy decision but they did say they had the peace of God and knew the timing was right.  I did not have to do any of the work except for the six hour drive Wes and I made bringing Danielles things to Bloomington. read more...

Never Never Alone!

I recall hearing the song ” Never Alone” ever since I was a little girl.  Martin Luther King Jr. quoted a phrase of it in his ” I have a dream speech”! I hear it now in my heart.
(Lyrics)
I’ve seen the lightning flashing, I’ve heard the thunder roll.
I’ve felt sin’s breakers dashing, which almost conquered my soul.
I’ve heard the voice of my Savior, bidding me still to fight on.
He promised never to leave me, never to leave me alone!

No, never alone, no never alone,
He promised never to leave me,
He’ll claim me for His own;
No, never alone, no never alone.
He promised never to leave me,
Never to leave me alone. read more...
