This To Will Pass!

By nature I am not the most optimistic person in the world. I do have a slightly dark side that I try to make out to be analytical – but at the end of the day – it’s just plain pessimistic. It took me many years to understand that it was in large part due to the type of people that I was influenced by while growing up. To a large degree they were women, and women who had not had the best that life offers – they had an edge to them, and that edge came through with all that they said and did. read more...

Still Talking About Love – I Choose Life!

This morning when I woke up I heard the words, “Choose Life!” God breathed these words to me, not because He wanted me to take a Pro-Life stand, He already knows that I stand on that premise.  I clearly heard a message to embrace life – not to hide in a cave, not to retreat from new experiences, not to shrink from situations that might not turn out the way I want them to. Being FOR life has a lot more to do than just taking a political position on the sanctity of life. God wants us to regard our WHOLE life with sanctity! read more...

I was first introduced to Gene Edwards by Pastor Shanna who told me that I HAD TO READ “A Tale of Three Kings”, and was I glad I did. If you want to understand the complexities of church leadership in a simplified form – it is a must read! read more...

Simple Words: Strong Message!

When we read the Bible, we are often have a command set before us that at first glance appears to be a very small request. We can look at it, and say with surety, “I can do that,” – “that’s not asking too much of me; or maybe we even feel that we are doing it and quickly pass it by. read more...

Holding Hands in the Dark!

I am sure that most of you can remember the first days of your school experience when it was time to line up – to go to lunch, or to the washroom. The teacher would put everyone in two’s and tell them to hold hands. In fact I still love the poem, “All I Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten” by Robert Fulgum which states, ” When you go out into the world, watch out for traffic, and hold hands.” This is true for the five year old or the fifty year old -life goes better whether it’s traffic or having fun, when you’re holding hands with someone else. read more...
