Tell the Lord, “Thank-ya!”`
Lately I have had more and more memories surface of the days when I first began this journey of faith – many, many years ago. There was not much I liked about it, it seemed as if the minute one thing that I was believing for got resolved, then another thing cropped up and I would have to go through the whole process again, wondering just how God was going to do it this time. If I can just be real a minute, because I am not adventuresome by nature, always wanting to givet my attention to the “sure thing”, I had more days of agony, than anticipation! read more...
My Hope and My Expectation is in You!
This year I have gone to a funeral every month and now starting this month I will be going to another one. This is unusual for me, for the people in my life space have for the most part been arouund a long time, living good lives. What I find is that we in the Christian community often take for granted the blessings that we have been given of health and stability and figure the people around us are going to live forever, even here on earth! read more...
Why Not Try Plan G?
There are times in our life when we are confronted with clear direction – we know deep down in our knower what we should do, what house we should live in, what vacation to go on, etc., etc. It just seems as if life is flowing like a river – open doors, bright sunshine, blooming flowers. All is well! read more...
A Simple Theology!
The other day out of my mouth came the words:, “I have a simple theology, that sees problems having simple solutions. Over the course of the forty plus years I have been a citizen of the Kingdom – I had my seasons when i wanted to be “deep!” Somewhere along the way, as it became more apparent that living the Christian life was not something I could do within my humanity – and after one mistake after another – I realized that knowledge of what to do does not always produce the required action. Most of us KNOW what we should be do, we have a conscieness of right and wrong – even enough discernment to make the right choice – what we often lack are other characteristics – tenacity, perserverance, faith, patience, endurance, most of all love, for love “covers a multitude of sins.” read more...
An Unexpected Blessing!
Yesterday I was faced with a number of challenges that shook my world a little. I am sure that it was no accident that because HeartLife is preparing for a forgiveness seminar that the enemy of my soul would use someone that I care for to hurt my feelings! I had just written yesterday’s post when immediately the enemy came to challenge the word! read more...
Forgive and Live!
One of the most serious conditions that exist in the church world today is the spirit of unforgiveness. Rather than take the biblical mandates that have been clearly established for us, like turning the other cheek, forigivng seventy times seven, etc. – many of us in the body of Christ hold on to acts of offense and pain and show forth the fruit of this in the form of grudges and executing actions that bring shame to our Lord. read more...
It’s Your Day – Know HIM!
One of the saddest scriptures in the Bible is found in Luke 19:41-43; from the Amplified verses 41 and 42 read: read more...
It’s More Than a Petal on a Flower!
When I was a little girl I joined others in playing a game which consisted of picking a flower and taking one petal at a time saying, “He loves me, He loves me not, He loves me, He loves me not.” It was definitely a “girl thing” and most of the time we probably did not have anyone we really loved – it was just fun to think about having someone that really loved us. Even as children, we grasped for that feeling of being really loved. Of course the petals of the flower had no power to make anyone love us, but it helped us to hold on to the fantasy, especially if there was that special person we had hopes would feel about us, as we felt about them! read more...
The God Kind of Faith!
I have heard several testimonies from people who have reported that they passed this life and went to heaven, that heaven is not a place where you will be “walking around heaven all day.” Rather it is a very busy place with activity both within the heavenly realm, and the dispatching of those angels who will carry out the orders of the King, which are in fact the prayers that have gone before the throne! read more...
