The Life that Flows From the Holy Spirit!

I’m talking to the church world now. To the people of faith. If we are one hundred percent honest, there has been at least one season in our life when we jump on our fellow brethren. I’m not talking about jumping on them physically (I pray that is never true) – but most of us at one point or another in our journey have a tendency to be a little critical – and some of us are VERY critical. And before you stop reading, because you think I may be just throwing off, I want to say that this tendency comes from the evil one – “the accuser of the brethren”. It is a spirit and all of us our subject to that spirit, until we recognize it for what it is and put it under our feet! read more...

Prayers ARE Being Answered!

On September 30th, the theaters will reflect the outcome of much prayer that has gone up before the Father. On that day, movie goers will have the opportunity to view the film, Courageous, made by the producers of Fireproof and Facing the Giants. This film is more than clean entertainment, I believe it is a direct answer to the prayers of so many who have prayed that: read more...

Every Day a Surprise!

A few weeks ago I prayed a prayer that seems to be opening up days filled with surprises. I was facing a challenge and I had no idea which way it was going to go. I prayed a simple prayer, “God, I’ll go where You say go,” and “I’ll do what You say do.” It’s not as if I hadn’t prayed that prayer before, but this time I didn’t say it, until I meant it. Since that time, I have had days filled with so many things that have surprised me.  Most have been pleasant surprises, but even the puzzling ones have given me to know that God is up to something, and if I want to get in on it, I better be prepared to go with the flow! read more...

Everything is Going to be Alright!

There are times when it may appear that we are only addressing the difficult times of life – the times when we have to depend upon our faith, not our sight. I was reminded of this today when I talked to one of my sisters, she asked me what about those who are not experiencing problems, is there a word for them? She didn’t know it, but she was reading my mind – because the one thing on my heart today were the words of a prophecy that Kenneth Copeland gave concerning the year, 2011 – “Everything is Gong to be Alright!” I believe this – and I have held on to these words, not only through challenges, but through good times and so far I can say, “Everything HAS Been Alright!” read more...

When the Road Seems Dark…

All of us at some point or another are going to go through “periolous times” – when the road seems so dark, and there appears to be no light to determine what direction to take. It is at these points when the only thing we have is either raw nerve or raw faith.  Some people forge ahead through these times because they just don’t believe that they can be beaten – they consciously and unconsciously believe they are greater than any obstacle than come against them. Then there are those of who have become blood bought believers, who now know just enough about our faliability to know that WE CAN BE BEATEN – that really there is no good thing that dwelleth in us – left to ourselves – we don’t have much going for us! read more...

Incidents, Distractions and Other Works of the Wicked One!

For the last couple of days we have had some unusual problems with the website. Fortunately they have been resolved and for those of you who are faithful readers, I can only say that I hope that you re-read the excellent words that Neesha posted last week. I have noticed that lately there has been several distractions and other kinds of activity going on in my life that I can only determine are works of the adversary trying to get us to lose focus and get distressed over them. It didn’t work! All praises go to Him who reigns over even the distractions and allows us to see that little by little we are growing beyond that which used to weigh us down! read more...

Believe & Confess!

Today I am not suprised by the many many people who are in a season where things are rough.  Every time I turn around there is someone in need and someone who does not understand why things are so different.  I do understand the world is in what we call a recession.  As the body of Christ are we in a recession of belief.  Have we forgotten who  is Jehovah Jireh?  We say we believe but I also know we have to confess it. read more...

Let’s go Fishing!

Quite a few people are suprised when I tell them I loooooooooove to go fishing! My dad took the junior church to camp when I was younger and one of the trips included creating our own fishing pole, and going fishing!  My first fish was a small mouth bass.  I had to wait hours and hours for that fish.  I recall having to use the bathroom and did not want to leave my pole, well I had to leave it and go, and to my amazement when I returned there was my fish.  I screamed, jumped up and down and could not believe it! read more...

Worhsip while you Wait!

What kind of season is this? Do you know? Have you been feeling like everything has tightened up? Just like a belt when you don’t have anymore knotches to put the belt together.  We squeeze as hard as we can to get it closed.  Sometimes its when we have to feel the squeeze and pull feel the tightening that we know its time to buckle down and and shift and do somthing different.  This is what comes to my mind about this season, not just  for me, but for many in the body of Christ. read more...
