God’s plan continues to unfold – the plan He had from the beginning of time. At just the right time God is going to not only visit a virgin maid and cause her to conceive a child, but that child will be:
A girl who is presently a virgin will get pregnant. She’ll bear a son and name him Immanuel (God-With-Us) Isaiah 7:14 (MSG)
A seemingly simple proclamation – yet there is nothing simple about God Himself, the Creator and Sustainer of the Universe coming down and dwelling upon men – it’s a real game-changer!
No longer can it be said that God doesn’t know, He doesn’t understand what I’m going through – He doesn’t care… For God Himself stepped out of eternity into time and dwelt among us – thirty-three years. He didn’t come with pomp and circumstance as a King – He wasn’t born with a silver spoon in His mouth – a little babe, born in a smelly stable; quietly He came to humble parents. Had it not been for the angels blazing the sky and letting the shepherds know of His arrival – the world may never have known the time.
Yet the angels did blaze the sky, the Hosannas rang out, they could not be stopped – the most miraculous event in all of man’s history occurred. Even hundreds of miles away, wise men in the east had seen His star announcing His arrival.There was no mistake – HE CAME!
But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law. Galatians 4:4 (KJV)
And He dwelt among us. There were reports that told us:
And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man. Luke 2:52 (KJV)
He lived, He served, He did what no one else could do:
After this, I’m coming back;
I’ll rebuild David’s ruined house;
I’ll put all the pieces together again;
I’ll make it look like new
So outsiders who seek will find,
so they’ll have a place to come to,
All the pagan peoples
included in what I’m doing.
“God said it and now he’s doing it. It’s no afterthought; he’s always known he would do this. Acts 15:17-19 (MSG)
He did what He said He would do; He lived among us and became us, that we might become Him.
