The Message is Everywhere!
One of the most amazing things to me is the marvelous way the Holy Spirit operates in the earth realm. He so works with us – to relate to us in ways we can understand.I am reminded of the words of the Apostle Paul in Acts 17:26-28 (AMP): read more...
The Road to De stiny Begins With That First Step! Part II
I began on last week sharing of my experience of returning to school for an advanced degree. The only thing I want to say in that regards is that although it was a much longer process than Ihad planned and that there were many, many things that attempted to deter me from being successful in completing my goal – the Holy Spirit enabled me to meet each challenge, pick myself up after every disappointment, and finally one day I completed all requirements to be successful. All praise to a living God! read more...

Fan the Flames!
The early spring that we are experiencing in the Midwest has I am sure put more than one of you already out on the patio with the barbeque grill. It is something about cooking on the grill that is worth it all. The old-fashioned way of getting the charcoal all lined up, pouring on the gasoline, watching the flames ignite with enough height to ensure that they would turn that charcoal into smoldering rocks bringing forth just the right amount of heat to cook our meal to perfection! The joy we knew we would experience was worth all the prep time! read more...
What Direction Are You Running In?
I was talking to one of my daughters about a situation I am encountering and all she could say was, “Run, Forest, Run!” I could picture Forest Gump running with all his might, running and running and running, first one crutch comes off – then the other – he ran with such passion that he forgot that he wasn’t supposed to be able to run! There are times when as much as we want to be brave and strong, there are some times when the best course of action is to :’run for you life: and ”head for the hills!” read more...
Prayer Changes Things but most Importantly it Changes ME!
Great Day Heartlife family! God is so good when He shares with us on a daily basis how much He loves us and is concerned about us. I am writing this morning for my mom.
I was thinking about a time when I was in grammer school and attended Evangelical Christian School. Rev Lee A. Norris was our principal and not just any principal but a true man of God who instilled words of encouragmentand His own sayings, recitations, and poems etc, inside every student who attended.
One of the things he used to have us recited daily was:
“Prayer changes things but most of all it changes me!”
WHat a powerful statement. We go to God in prayer and want to see the answers to our prayers daily for our family, finances, jobs and other people. Our hearts desire is when we pray we recieve what we ask.
I know we ask in faith, even if it does not appear that things aren’t happening in our timing we continue to pray.
I Thessalonians 5:16:17
Pray without ceasing.
First, we never need to stop praying, not begging and pleading, but simply staying in an attitude of prayer will cause us to change our focus, it will allow us to cast our cares upon God for He cares for us.
Mark 11:24
“Whatsoever things you ask when you pray, believe that you recieve them, and you will have them.
So the second things is continuing to believe that you will recieve what you have asked, keep believing no matter what it looks like, don’t doubt God continue to act in faith. God’s word said when you believe you will recieve.
Matthew 6:33
But seek ye firt the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you.
Thirdly, Continue to seek Him First, when we make God first everything else becomes small and minimal. Then all of these other things will be added unto us.
All of things you need, faith, trust, joy, peace, and the love of God will overshadow you to continue the journey of Prayer.
Lots of people believe the other things are material, but material things cant give you peace. Seeking God first will Change you, and your mindset.
God loves us so much that He wants us to commune with us. Such a simple message but I do believe we often times forget the basics.
Take the time to Pray! Quote it daily as a reminder,
“Prayer changes things but most importantly it Changes ME!
QUote His word daily, put Him in rememberance of His word.
This is truly a season of Prayer. Join your family together and “Get Connected” and pray. It will strengthen you and encourage you to have a new expecation from the Father, and most importantly it will change YOU!!!!

Let the Bad Blood Run Out!
For the believer, this time a year there is at least a little attention still given to the “blood”. How can we adequately explain the significance of the crucifixion, and subsequent resurrection, without going into the significance of the “blood sacrifice”? It is impossible! And how can you understand the events that played out in the New Testament concerning the birth, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus without going to the Old Testament and looking at God’s requirement of a blood sacrifice? You can’t! read more...
